About the Organization

“MOWO is on a mission to create a safe and reliable commute option ‘For, and By Women’ and in doing so, empowering women to become self-reliant and confident.

MOWO focuses on training women with motor driving skills with an aim to create a generation of confident women drivers equipped with mobility as a skill for empowerment and employment.

Since 2019, MOWO has reached out to 15,000+ young girls and women and trained 2,500+ in riding 2/3 wheelers, with required driving licences.

One of the major achievements of MOWO is to be assigned as the technical partner to the Women and Child welfare department Govt. of Telangana in conceptualising & establishing India’s first Motor Training Centre for Women in Hyderabad.”

Jai Bharathi %designation% Jai Bharathi, an avid motorcyclist, has led several national and cross-country motorcycling expeditions covering more than 1,00,000 kms across South East Asia and the United States to promote women’s safety. She was conferred the “Vishishta Mahila Puraskaram” under the Adventure category by the Department of Women & Child Welfare, Govt. Of Telangana in 2019 and several other awards. Her efforts in the field of motorcycling have been appreciated by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi & the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao.In 2021, she embarked upon a 40 days ‘Moving Boundaries’ motorcycle expedition covering about 11,111 kms across India, promoting gender inclusion in sustainable mobility. Through this journey she met with 2000+ women and encouraged them to pick up livelihoods in the thriving mobility sector. This campaign also garnered 10Mn+ viewership on the digital space.
