About the Organization

“Founded in 2016, Navgurukul runs a one-year residential course for students from under-served and diverse communities. Students after pursuing the course are awarded a Certificate in Software Programming.

Since its inception, more than 450 students from marginalized areas have got jobs in Software Programs and have donated back more than INR 32 Lakhs in donations. Together, these alumni are earning more than INR16 crores a year and are now instead tax-payers and job-creators. More than 1,000 students are currently learning in residential centers across Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, Tripura, Amravati and Dharamsala.

Navgurukul has also started courses across different disciplines outside their flagship course on Software Programming, such as – School of Design, School of Media, School of Finance, and School of Management. These are residential year-long courses with guaranteed jobs.

25,000+ students have been taught the basics of programming through NavGurukul’s online application called Meraki, that was developed by NavGurukul alumni and volunteers.”

Mr. Abhishek Gupta Mr. Abhishek Gupta is alumni of IITD ‘13 CS Graduate. Co-founded Zumbl.com and FranklyMe. Zumbl was acquired and FranklyMe raised more than 2.6M$ from Matrix Partners and others. Was working with Education Department, Delhi Government before NavGurukul. He is a TedX speaker and listed under Forbes India 30 under 30 for his contribution in the field of education for unprivileged students.

Co-founded EmpowerED, an Edtech startup in the space of building 21st century skills before Navgurukul.
