About the Organization

Established in 2019, STEP (Shakti-The Empathy Project) has been running incubator & accelerator programs for early stage women entrepreneurs. STEP’s ideology rests on 5 pillars of empathetic community, learning, mentorship, networking & role modelling. Through its programs, STEP has so far supported 71 women-run startups and touched more than 750,000 lives. The program is sector agnostic, runs pan India, and is currently delivered in Hindi and English languages.

Renu Shah Renu is the founder of STEP (Shakti – The Empathy Project), a unique incubation program for women entrepreneurs. The program rests on five pillars of empathy, learning, mentorship, networking & role modeling. STEP runs four uniquely designed programs aimed at creating an enabling ecosystem for women entrepreneurs. Four incubation programs in English in Hindi for various stages, Wings program for college students and an annual WINGS Idea challenge. The programs are spread all over India. Most recently, she has launched a job platform called SHEEE for women in blue & grey collar segment.
