“The Apprentice Project (TAP) empowers India’s under-served children to become leaders by teaching them technical and 21st-century skills via AI and NLP-driven WhatsApp chatbots.

In 2022 alone, TAP has 8,000+ active students, out of which 70% engage week after week. Students engaged for more than six months displayed a 2x improvement in technical and 21st century skills.”

Anand Gopakumar %designation% Anand's prior experiences lie in start-up building. He has managed multiple value-added service (VAS) products through different telecom operators and enterprises during his time with a fintech organisation at its early stages. He has also previously built a successful for-profit e-commerce enterprise. Anand leads the product and tech team at the organisation, utilising his experience working with products at their early stages. A believer in 'fail fast, fail often', he curates the organisation's strategy and also heads the development team to engage with and forge lasting relationships with donors.
Monica Pesswani %designation% Monica pursued a Master's in Education Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She also holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. At our organisation, she designs the curriculum, heads impact measurement, and governmental relations. Her superpower lies in empathy and community building, as she also leads the people development at the organisation. Monica is also an avid volunteer for social causes, constantly looking for volunteering opportunities to make a difference in the world around her. She is a recipient of the Fulbright and Aga Khan Development Network scholarship.
Prashant Kumar %designation% During his decade-long tenure at Accenture, Prashant managed an ERP application support and maintenance project for a large global pharmaceutical client. He efficiently handled a team of over 120 team members to ensure performance above the service level agreements while maintaining high people engagement. He has a PGDM in Operations from the Indian Institute of Management and currently heads our organisation's operations. Prashant also pursued his passion as a teacher and has aided in the movement towards building educational equity in India during his time with Teach for India. Prashant’s dominion over logistics and coordination and his attention to detail make him the immovable rock of our organisation.
